Henri is a well-known, highly regarded Australian actor, best known for 

• “Mother and Son”, a television sitcom in which he played Robert Beare (the dentist) form 1983 - 1993, ABC TV; 
• “Palace of Dreams”, an award winning 10 - part drama series also ABC, recently re-shown on ABC, which was set during the depression in Sydney. Henri played Mick Mendel, the father of a Russian Jewish immigrant family, running a pub during the depression (Penguin Award). 
• He starred in the feature film “Travelling North” with Leo McKern, Graham Kennedy and Julia Blake. This film and the two series have all been shown on PBS in America and on channels around the world.

Henri spent (2003) playing Herr Schultz in Sam Mendes's acclaimed production of “CABARET”" (Helpmann Award).

  From December 2003 to January 2004 he premièred his new autobiographical one-man show,  “WHY KIDS?” in a sell-out season at the Ensemble Theatre in Sydney. The show has just completed a national tour of Australia - May to July this year - performing in centres as remote as Karratha and Bunbury, to Alice Springs, Darwin, Perth, Brisbane and the surrounds of Melbourne.

WHY KIDS? is his second autobiographical show - his first was:      

• “I'm Not A Dentist” which addressed his career, with insights and anecdotes about being an actor (Norman Kessell Award). 

His first two one-man shows were Patrick Süskind's brilliant

• “The Double Bass”; 

and a heart-wrenching play,

•  “SKY”, written for Henri by John Misto. This last was about a father's grief at the loss of a 21 year old son in a light-aircraft incident, in which neither wreckage nor body were ever recovered. It was based on the real story of Freddy Valentich in 1978. All four one-man shows were first presented by the Ensemble Theatre in Sydney.

Henri has had two books published (by Currency Press): a book on acting called “All in Good Timing”, and a booklet containing the scripts of his two plays: "I'm Not a Dentist" and "WHY KIDS?". It is titled "One Life, Two Journeys".
